Sharon is a former family therapist whose writing explores the joys and struggles of relationships of all kinds, including our relationship with ourselves and the natural world. She enjoys a light touch, and some of her work will make you smile if not laugh out loud.
Sharon is currently busy writing stories and working on a memoir about the eighteen months she spent looking after her mom, who died, with dementia, in June 2020.
Sharon lives with her partner, Dennis, in Cumberland, BC, where she loves spending time with her adorable grandson, Koen.
In 2018 Sharon published her first novel, Across a Narrow Strait.

In 2010 Sharon published Up Close & Personal: Confessions of a Backyard Birder, a compilation of 24 of her columns and 40 colour photos.
