“THROUGH THE FOG” won first place in the fiction category of the 2024 Royal City Literary Arts Society’s Annual Contest. In November 2023, it had been long-listed for the Joy Kogawa Award for Fiction. It will be published in The New Quarterly in January 2026.
In 2023, “THE REDHEAD” won Honourable Mention in the Dave Williamson National Short Story Competition, and was published in the anthology, Beyond Boundaries.
“THE NEIGHBOUR” was shortlisted for the 2020 Federation of BC Writers BC/Yukon Short Fiction Contest, then took second place in the Muskoka Authors Association’s 2020 Melody Richardson Memorial Contest. It was also made into a podcast, renamed “Joe,” for SomeKinda Woman: Stories of Us by Caitlin Hicks and Gord Halloran.
